The mainnet launch of the Filecoin (FIL) project is still on course for a Q3 2020 release. This means that the wait since 2017 by investors and fans of Filecoin, will finally come to an end with a complete project. CoinList to be the primary distributor of Filecoin tokens

Furthermore, the team at Filecoin announced that CoinList will be the primary distribution channel for Filecoin tokens. CoinList also plans on supporting Filecoin (FIL) trading and other network participation directly through users’ CoinList Wallets.

Filecoin (FIL) Kicks Off Hackathon Ahead of Mainnet Launch

With the Mainnet launch window a few weeks away, the team at Filecoin has kicked off a virtual hackathon by ETHGlobal and Protocol labs. The main goal of the hackathon is to kick start development of decentralized applications, developer tools and other projects that use decentralized storage. Ethereum’s Vitalik Part of Mentors and Judges

$125k in Prizes for Developers

At the time of writing this, registration for the Hackathon is still ongoing with the development activities are set to start on the 6th of July till the 6th of August. Successful participants will receive various prizes worth a total of $125,000.
