Polygon Studios, the developer relationship arm of Polygon Technologies, has announced new hires to spearhead its growth in the Web3 blockchain gaming space.
To begin with, Polygon Studies has welcomed Michael Blank as Chief Operating Officer and Young Ko as Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Banks spent almost twenty years with Electronic Arts (EA) where he held different senior leadership roles at the company. During his time at EA, Banks served as Senior Vice President of Player Network where he spearheaded the company’s strategy to connect and engage more than 300 million global users. He also held the role of Executive Producer for several game franchises at EA.
Polygon Studio’s new CFO, Young Ko, has almost 16 years of progressive financial and entrepreneurial expertise across entertainment, music, fashion, and real estate. Mr. Ko spent the last 9 years as the VP of Finance at Penske Media, overseeing the finance, accounting, treasury and global tax teams.
Additionally, Polygon Studios has hired Urvit Goel (VP, Gaming Business Development), Charnjit Bansi (VP, Game Design), Ben Watley (Senior Director of Strategy and Gaming) and Will Matteson (Corporate Strategy Manager).
Formerly working at Amazon, Mr. Goel brings a vast wealth of experience leading teams in finance, marketing and business development.
Mr. Bansi brings over 20 years of knowledge in AAA web2 game leadership and development from world-class game developers such as Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games (creators of Call of Duty). He recently served as Director of Product Management at Mythical Games.
Ben Watley is a veteran of the gaming industry and brings with him a vast wealth of experience working at Electronic Arts (EA). Mr. Watley will be working alongside ex-NASA software engineer and Riot game strategist, Will Matteson.
The new hires join the newly appointed CEO of Polygon Studios, Ryan Wyatt, who was previously the head of Youtube’s Gaming vertical. Mr. Wyatt welcomed the new talent at Polygon Studios through the following statement.
