Capital One may be blocking its consumers from conducting cryptocurrency-related transactions on major exchange platforms. According to the Merkle, consumers have been complaining that they have been unable to purchase Bitcoin from Coinbase. According to a Reddit user, a Capital One representative said that the bank starting blocking such transactions last week.

According to The National, one of those agencies include the Roads and Transport Authority, whose blockchain application aims to bring greater efficiency in the agency. The Director General of Smart Dubai, Aisha Bint Buti bin Bisher, claims that Dubai is aiming to be blockchain capital of the world.
U.S. Treasury Explores, then Ends Plans for Government-Sanctioned Cryptocurrency
In a recent interview with the Economic Club in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin claimed the Treasury has made proposals of converting the US currency into a “digital dollar.” However, he added that those plans were not sustainable in the near future. He went on to express significant concern of the over illegal uses of cryptocurrencies and called for an urgent G20 Summit meeting on the issue.

The public television series, “Success Files,” is releasing an episode covering the basics and potential of blockchain technology. According to a press release, the show, hosted by Rob Lowe, will be geared toward helping “regular” people better understand the technology. While there is no release date for the episode yet, Success Files can be found on PBS member stations.
