WikiLeaks calls for global blockade of Coinbase

According to a post by WikiLeaks, the organization will call for a global blockade of Coinbase sometime next week. This statement comes on the heels of Coinbase blocking @WikiLeaksShop from access to its platform “without notice or explanation”. Meanwhile, no official response has been made by Coinbase management and bitcoin donations will still be accepted by WikiLeaks.

Taiwan Eyes November for Bitcoin AML Regulation

Qiu Taisan, the Minister of Justice of Taiwan, stated Friday that “in order to prevent bitcoin and other virtual currencies from becoming money laundering tools…relevant control mechanisms will be established by the end of November this year”. First reported by Taiwan’s Central News Agency, the Financial Supervision Commission has also asked banks to list the account of the Bitcoin sales platform in banks as a “high-risk account”.

Bithumb To Issue Own Token In Singapore

First reported on by TokenPost, South Korea’s leading crypto exchange has revealed plans to conduct an ICO and issue its own token, Bithumb Coin. The ICO will be held in Singapore due to the current regulation environment in South Korea, where the company’s headquarters are located. It is not clear whether this event will signal any type of future relocation for Bithumb.
